Hair Evolution
Hey Guys!,
To make up for my lack of posts lately I thought I would share my hair evolution. Since its almost the new year I thought it would be fitting to share all of my hair color changes and there are a lot lol.Let's start out with a fun one from when I was kid! Thats me on the left, nice hair right!! haha
Let's start out with the bob I had a few years back. I had it cut when Victoria Beckham's hair was all the rage. I loved it so much! Although it is definitely annoying trying to grow it out.

Later on I made my hair super blonde and used to put brown extensions in lol. |
![]() |
Flash forward a couple of years I made my hair an auburn red color during 2011. |
![]() |
Here I am again with my red hair. It was fun while it lasted but I don't think I'll be a redhead again. |
![]() |
I let the red fade and made it brown. |

In the beginning of 2012 I added some honey blonde highlights to my hair . |
Here I am again with highlights. |
![]() |
In the spring I added a ton more highlights. |

Eventually in the summer I made my whole head super blonde. |

For the fall I added some dark brown to my hair and kept some blonde highlights. |

I later added a little more brown to create the ombre effect. |

HAIR CARE ROUTINE
Hi guys, I wanted to do a quick post on my hair care routine. So here goes lets start with shampoo.
Within the last month I have switched to Suave humectant moisture shampoo.

I have highlighted my hair and it has definitely helped put some moisture back into my hair.
Next I have already blogged about the macademia deep repair masque so I won’t go into depth about it, but just say that the directions suggest only using the product twice a week.

Because I don’t want to use this product every time I wash my hair I picked up the Aussie 3 minute miracle deep conditioner. The Aussie conditioner only costs $3-4 while the macademia retails for $30 (cheaper on Amazon).

This conditioner has been great in between my uses of the macademia masque. I typically wash my hair every other day and alternate between these two products. If your hair is not that damaged but you would like it to be softer I suggest trying out the Aussie 3 minute miracle, its cheap and leaves your hair nice and soft.
For me personally I needed the more extreme macademia masque because of the state my hair was in but I will continue to use the Aussie conditioner in between my macademia uses.
Okay so lets move on to styling. FIrst off I use the tresseme heat tamer spray before I blow dry or apply any kind of heat.

For Christmas I was given a Bumble and Bumble gift set. I foudn the seaweed shampoo and conditioner to be a little drying which is probably because my hair is color treated. However I enjoy the styling lotion and creme.
First up is the Bumble and Bumble styling lotion.

I use this product to detangle and soften.
Next up is the Styling Creme.

I use this product to add some body and texture to my hair. I run this product through my damp hair.
After all this I blow dry my hair with my chi blow dryer. However I have been thinking of buying another one. I have heard great things about the NuMe dryer, but I know that one is expensive. I’ll let you guys know if I purchase the NuMe dryer or any other blow dryer.

MACADEMIA NATURAL OIL DEEP REPAIR MASK REVIEW
I just used this repair mask today for the first time.

I have had my eye on it for a while but kept putting off buying it because of the price. It costs 30 dollars and to me that just seemed like too much. However I was able to find it on Amazon for $17 and I also had an amazon gift card so I figured I should finally go ahead and buy it. Recently I have started highlighting my hair and that has certainly done some damage.
My hair has been feeling dry and my redken deep conditioner wasn’t getting the job done. A while back I purchased the Redken real control intense renewal mask and to be honest I barely noticed a difference. After I would blow dry my hair it felt just as dry as it did when I wasn’t using the product. Maybe I needed something more moisturizing but it did not work for me.
I can honestly say after one use of the macademia mask I feel a difference. MY hair is definitely more soft and looks shinier. I have noticed a little bit of frizz but nothing I can’t handle. I’ll update you guys as I continue to use this product.
I also purchased Aussies 3 minute repair mask which costs 3-4 dollars. I figured I could alternate these two conditioners. I read a lot of positive feedback on the aussie conditioner, but I haven’t tried out yet. So stay tuned for that.
I have an ELF haul that should be up soon! Sorry I haven’t been on here in a while.

LETS TALK ROLLERS & L’OREAL ELNETT HAIR SPRAY REVIEW
I have found myself addicted to rollers lately, I have a set of hot rollers and jumbo Velcro ones. I love the Velcro rollers because of the volume they give, but my hair is so straight and flat that I need a good amount of time to let them set.
So when I’m in a hurry I use my trusty conair hot rollers.

Today I used my rollers and thought I would share with you guys how I use them.
First I section off my crown and clip it out of the way.
Next I take the hair directly behind my ear and bring it forward and roll that in
Next I take the rest of the bottom section and roll that straight up
I repeat this on the other side
Then I begin to separate my crown into sections I start by taking one or two sections on the back of my crow and roll them in
Then I usually take two sections on each side of my head and roll them in as well
My bangs I roll straight up like the bottom layer
I’m sure this is super confusing reading so I might have to do a video tutorial on it to make each step is more clear
Today I tried L’oreal’s elnett hair spray and I really like it. It doesn’t make my hair super stiff which I love, but it does have a weird smell to it. It kind of reminds me of a cinnamon raisin bagel haha.
Heres a couple of pictures of the finished look:

P.S. I highlighted my hair myself!

okay so tonight i decided to try something with my hair. since i am trying to save money i switched back from blonde to my natural dark brown because the upkeep is expensive. i have been considering ombre lately because there is little to no need for upkeep and it seemed easy enough to do myself. so i figured why the hell not? so with one hand (i pulled something in my other) and a box of revlon frost and glow i went to work. i made the mixture, inhaling some tasty powder in the process then got to it (i decided to use an eyeshadow brush to apply because only a hook is included in the box). my hair is shoulder length with long layers so i pulled the top layer up into and bun and applied the stuff to the rest, focusing on the ends. i was very haphazard and just painted like a madwoman. i made sure to really get the face framing pieces covered. i let down the rest of my hair and lightly (VERY LIGHTLY) added some thin pieces and painted the ends so it wasnt such a weird drastic change. since i wanted it to look natural i did not leave it on for very long. unfortunately i was chicken and took it off too soon. eh. worked out for the best because i was looking less ombre more zebra. i fixed my mistakes and i kind of like it. its subtle. i probably could have made it stand out a little more but i didnt want to look like a goof. so if you are bored and tired of the upkeep of traditional highlights i recommend it. although it is more difficult than you think so take your time and you should probably have a better took than an eyeshadow brush.
on a side note: i used my new rusk deep shine oil advanced marine therapy shampoo and conditioner and i am not impressed. my hair wasnt any shinier or moisturized and it smells like i bathed in mens shave gel. thankfully i didnt pay for it i won it from luckymag but i definitely dont recommend it.
go forth and be merry. pepp.
LITTLE LATE TO THE PARTY BUT I’VE GOT MY DANCING SHOES ON (REVIEW)
pepp here! howdy! ok so i have a new obsession that i need to share: moroccan oil. yeah i’m a little late to the shiny hair soiree but i’m here none the less. i was given a little (and i am talking minuscule) free sample bottle from a person who came into my office and i am hooked. it took me a few tries to figure out what the heck to do with it but now it is essential. it makes your hair shiny, frizz free and the smell makes you feel like just off the beach in the Mediterranean. the key is to use a small amount or else you look like you took a bath in olive oil (dime size… add more if you have longer hair or are having a super dry hair day). the large bottle seems a little expensive at $41 but it lasts a really long time (it is even worth it to buy the smaller bottle because you only use a little at a time). so far i have only tried the MoroccanOil Treatment but i am really looking forward to trying the repair treatments and volumizing products because my hair can be a bit of a wet noodle. i will definitely review them when i do.

live long and prosper. pepp.
